Shishi is a Norwegian-Estonian joint venture established in 1998 by Linda Johnsen, Lilli Bendriss, Taivo Piller and Mart Haber.
The company of friends wanted to create an international brand that would offer fresh and interesting ideas for interior decoration.

The name Shishi was chosen for its appealing look: the owners wanted to create a meaning for it themselves. Initially, the main emphasis was on self-created vases and artificial flowers, as both Linda Johnsen and Taivo Piller are internationally recognised florists, champions of their respective countries on numerous occasions and representatives of their countries in European as well as world championships; both have also been jury members in international contests.

Shishi offers two collections annually: one for spring/summer, one for autumn/winter. The collections feature vases, artificial flowers and trees, candelabra, candles, vase-pots and a wide variety of Christmas products. Integrity has been considered in designing the collection, as it is important that the items should fit together so that selections are easier to make.

Shishi's Norwegian daughter company was one of the Gaselle companies in 2005 and 2006 by the business paper Dagens Næringsliv. Shishi AS was one of the 5 finalists in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year contest in Estonia.
Besides Norway and Estonia. Shishi is also represented in Latvia, Lithuania. Since 2011, Shishi has participated in the Frankfurt exhibitions Christmasworld, Ambiente and Tendence and in Paris Maison et Objet.

Shishi products are available in the best department stores in Tokyo, London, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Copenhagen as well as interior design and florist shops throughout Europe.
Shishi products are exported all over the world.
